I think the nearest is at 87 Liverpool Road, Birkdale. Although I really do think you are missing an opportunity by not staying at the five star accommodation at Pontins. Does the Railway Inn at Ainsdale have any rooms?

Ha Ha. It's for a friend who lives abroad but knows Southport and for some reason she specifically said "not Pontins"! I saw the one on Liverpool Road. I will check the Railway. That would be ideal. Thanks

This place looks amazing - wouldn't mind staying here myself - but presume it is self catering not B&B

It is a great place, a friend had their daughters wedding there, marques etc. Interior is excellant
It has been said that when helping people change their behaviour – “the spirit in which help is offered” is the most important aspect, more than the degree of skills and knowledge of the helper!

Oh Yes, I had forgotten about those chalets. When are your friends thinking of coming over? and how long for? I think I may have a contact for those chalets - can't promise, but I will check if you are interested.

Thanks for that. Haven't got dates yet but I think the chalets are too big for them and they are after something more reasonable. Thanks anyway

Again self-catering, how about Willlowbank caravan park at the Woodvale end of the Coastal Road?
