I think the nearest is at 87 Liverpool Road, Birkdale. Although I really do think you are missing an opportunity by not staying at the five star accommodation at Pontins. Does the Railway Inn at Ainsdale have any rooms?

Ha Ha. It's for a friend who lives abroad but knows Southport and for some reason she specifically said "not Pontins"! I saw the one on Liverpool Road. I will check the Railway. That would be ideal. Thanks

It is a great place, a friend had their daughters wedding there, marques etc. Interior is excellant

It does look amazing but there are only two people and I think a bit more than they were hoping to pay as they may need to be here a while. Self catering would be OK though. Don't think it's essential that it's B&B. Just somewhere reasonable in that area.

Oh Yes, I had forgotten about those chalets. When are your friends thinking of coming over? and how long for? I think I may have a contact for those chalets - can't promise, but I will check if you are interested.
