"Bin men FAIL again" the bin men are not self employed they work for either the Council or a company contracted by the Council to empty the bins. So did they just pack in work and go home before they emptied your bin or was there some other reason that you have failed to determine as why the bin has not been emptied.
Making a statement that paints all bin men is a bit rich, did your company ever fail your customers if not you are very lucky.

That's what privatisation is about ,providing a quality service
and not being paid until customer is happy
Hey the results are pretty good.

Privatisation of all public services is designed to put money into the fatcat "investors" who set out to make as much profit from as little outlay as possible, quality of service comes a very poor second or worse, don't know about your bin situation, but my bin (of whatever colour) has never been missed or not collected apart from weather interrupted service, don't target the entire organisation because of one error.
Agree we should get the service we pay our rates for, but have you enquired as to the problem, or are you right with the bins?
Had a lady down our road the other week screeching about her green bin, until someone pointed out that she was a week late putting it out.

You don't often use the Railways then?
You are happy that Gas Electric Telephones Water and any other Privatised Utility keep rising in price?
Yes privatisation has been a resounding success in the minds of halfwits.

I'm fairly sure the green waste service is privatised.

They didn't work under fear but as a team where everyone depends on each other.
I have paid for my bin to be collected on Monday , if council come round and fine me for putting my bin out on wrong day.
You would be saying it's my fault.
So just do the job that your paid for then we wouldn't have this s...
Are you just randomly hitting the keyboard with your elbows or did you intend to write this nonsense.
Feel free to go and pay privately for the service if you're not happy - the amount of your Council Tax which goes towards the green waste collection is so minute it really shouldn't trouble you.
By the way have a look at your Council Tax bill and apply your Dragon's Den accumen to it - after the Police et al have taken their chunk tell me how much per household is left to provide all the services you get.
As a private company you would have been responsible for the generation of your own income something which the bin service, with certain limited exceptions, is not able to do.
So tell me Lord Sugar - with cuts to the amount of money provided to deliver the service and, more expected from this reduced level of resources - how do you cover everything?
If 4 of your 15 had gone down with let's say norovirus and couldn't come in, yet your company was expected to meet a deadline that was tight before the loss of staff - what would happen then?
Oh - and you're not allowed to get extra staff to cover the absences - there's no money available.
Oh yes - I forgot to mention - you've got dimwits ringing you up and telling you how rubbish you are and you've failed.
I'll help you out here - you would miss the deadline and be late - is it your staff who have failed or you?
Tough one that.

Two green bins were put on the pavement for Monday collection.
They belong to a block of 9 flats. So 9 Council taxes. The large grass area is mowed every two weeks. The bins are collected every three weeks. Where do we put the grass clippings? Or should we ask for another 7 green bins, in reserve? I rang Monday and informed the council, reminded them Tuesday,. Wednesday they couldn't deal with the issue as the system was down, Thursday was told it was in the system and I didn't need to call again. There were two other bins, on our block put out Monday but they have given up and taken them off the pavement.

Compost the waste, greener than getting it carted away on a truck , then onto another truck to take it to a DIY store then into a car to spread on your garden. Somewhat cheaper as well.

Going off at a tangent but what determines whether a block of flats gets recycling bins or not?
The last 2 I've lived in have just had 2 large bins for everything. Nothing for green waste and nothing for recycling.
