Probably not their fault, the wagon was probably full and had to go to be emptied.

'Bin men fail yet again' dear oh dear oh dear what trying times we live in - a green bin not emptied - stop all the clocks, make Policemen wear white gloves, have the UN been informed, does Bob Geldolf know about this, will someone interupt the North Korean/USA talks to let Kung Fu Panda know?

Posts on this site become more frivilous by the day - get over it and stop throwing a tantrum it'll get emptied - just not in line wth your demands.

Reality check for the ignorant and foolish. I pay for a job , I expect it to be done.
Then again I work for a living and probably have a different outlook on life.

I live in Birkdale. My green bin was emptied on Monday.

As for throwing a tantrum, it may not be the biggest problem in the world but it is annoying, especially if you have more to fill up the green bin with and you want to get on with other jobs. It is a service that rate payers pay for so we should expect them to do what they promised to do.

If you want serious discussions on all threads here then you have to be a bit more welcoming to anyone who posts. Life is not all about big world issues, thank god.

Like ausard2 says, if you pay for a service you expect the job to be done.

As you constantly keep telling us there's less funding available so you can't expect things to be the same as they were. You're just going to have to accept your own advice.

As do I - is your christian name Victor by any chance and are you married to Margaret.
Do let us all know when this intolerable state of affairs has been rectified - if you have the time - given you work for a living.
By the way - have you asked the Council why this happened?

Best thing I did with our back garden was to have Artificial Grass installed by Envirolawn, with purple slate borders.Well worth the money,it has been down now for almost 5 years, and it still looks as good as new, even with an Akita running around every day on it.....And we hardly ever have to use the Green bin, apart from the odd weeds that we sometimes get on the front driveway flagging, possibly empty it about 2 times in the summer,or a trip to the tip ........
The day that God created Akita's......He just sat back and smiled

As I said if they can't do the job good bye.
There are a lot people out there more than capable of providing
    a good service.

I don't mind a serious discussion - what I take umbrage with is the constant sniping on here, by the usual buffoons, at ordinary hard working men.
'bin men fail yet again' - it could have been a vehicle break down. There could have been an issue with that particular driver 'running out of hours'. The staff on the switchboard would be unaware of this.

You must be living in a different galaxy , 2018 you cover all
everything in business if you're any good.
I used have 15 staff , treated seriously well .
Nobody threw a sicky because if they did they were on their way.
They didn't work under fear but as a team where everyone depends on each other.
I have paid for my bin to be collected on Monday , if council come round and fine me for putting my bin out on wrong day.
You would be saying it's my fault.
So just do the job that your paid for then we wouldn't have this s...

    No you haven't.
You've paid a contribution towards the provision of a service that has had its overall funding cut.
