There are plenty of good discounts on black Friday. Amazon has some great deals, Especially on electrical goods. But make sure you know what you are buying, As it's also a great time for retailers to get rid of their old, out dated stock.

Many discounts are just headlines to entice you in then you find it is no longer available but there is an alternative usually an inferior / lower spec, also many prices have been hiked up in readiness for a discount.

The amazon "sale" price is usually the exact same price as the product is the other 364 days of the year.

and that simply isn't true, but yet again you need to do your research before hand.

Its 100% true, have a look now and then during the sale. Have a look during the sale and then after, I noticed it about 2 years ago.

Never bother! Most of the shop sales are to get rid of old stock, or stuff that is being replaced with new. Nothing is a bargain anymore, the shops charge more than retailers on line and there is more variety on line. Even then - an item can only be a bargain if you NEED the item! If you buy something you do not need, just simply because it has a reduced price, you have spent more than you would have done anyway.
Anyway - the so called Black Friday is an American idea - I refuse to be Americanised!

It is an American thing. But if you do your research prior to the sales, there are most certainly bargains to be had. Impulse buys are usually a bad idea no matter what time of the year it is.
I never buy any tech/gadgets with out a great deal of research first.
Buying something because it says 4k, HDR, ultra etc usually ends in regret unless you have researched it first.

Gthe Very website has a Black Friday link, one of the offers they have is for Apple products, with the exception of iPhone x
Order any Apple product over £149 on buy now pay later, and use a special code that they provide. And they will put 20percent of the purchase price into your account by Dec 28, or the despatch date.
Should you return the item, the credit given will be withdrawn.
This equates to £160 off an iPhone8 plus.
