    There is a tug of war event from the 21st-24th of September being held there ,so I presume its all getting set up and organised in the run up.

    Not just any tug of war - its the European tug of war championships. Participants and spectators are advised to book in to Pontins as the official accommodation as there will be shuttle buses running from there to the competition ground. What a dim view of Southport they may leave with.
