    Conundrum 2

    1. How do you write 20th December 2013 in five letters without using numbers?

    2. What is the answer 2 + 2 x 2 - 2 + 2 = ?

    3. If 1 = 5
    2 = 25
    3= 325
    4 = 4325
    5 = ?
    3. A butchers assistant is 6ft.2 and takes a size 12 shoe? What does he weigh?

    4. If Dad, Mum and Son's ages add in total to 70 years, and Dad is 6 times as old as his son. When will the son be half as old as his Dad?

    5. On a lonely street there stands a bottle recycling bin. In that bin there is just one bottle. Every hour and on the hour people come and put a bottle in the bin. In one hour, a person comes along and puts a bottle in that bin, it is now midday. One hour later, two people come along and place a bottle each in the bin. In the next hour, four people come along and place a bottle each in the bin. For every hour, on the hour the doubling of people putting a bottle in the bin continues until 11pm when the bin is full. When is the bin half full?

    2 + 2 (4) x 2 (8) -2 (6) +2 = 8
    It has been said that when helping people change their behaviour – “the spirit in which help is offered” is the most important aspect, more than the degree of skills and knowledge of the helper!

    One has been searching one's brain, but one still can't come up with a solution. One may well have to concede on this one! 🥇

    Here's one for you, a simple maths problem.
    My gas meter is one which registers readings in 100 cubic feet, in order to work out the consumption costs I have to convert to metric and then adjust the volume correction which allows me to adjust the calorific value and then eventually convert from joules.
    To convert 100 cu/f
    x metric conversion
    x volume correction
    x calorific value
    \3.6 convert from joules
    This will give me my usage in kWh which I can then multiply by 2.6450 p\kWh
    For example 100 x 2.83 x 1.02264 x 39.3 \ 3.6 = 3159.4 kWh

    What would my consumption in kWh be if my meter reading is 225 units
