Cortana/Siri etc does anyone use them?

With Windows, Microsoft want you to talk to Cortana, Apple has Siri. Does anybody talk to their computers (apart from cursing)?
I find them totaly unecessary myself, typing is easier & less embarassing.

I don't usually, but do find the speech control on the Amazon Firestick quite good for searching, playing the next episode, etc.

Happily it isn't always 'on' like most, but you press a button to activate the microphone. It is just a gimmick, but works quite well.

Not used them myself, But I know of people that have them for shopping lists etc. When they remember something they want to buy. It just adds it to a shopping list which they have on their phone.

I use voice search all the time on my android phone - much easier than typing and gets it right most of the time.

We have Cortana don't bother with it.

I do ask Alexa to play a random song-much easier than searching.
Plus very useful for news and weather updates facts and figures.

Mr Hamble uses it a lot too now that he has stopped called her 'Alexis'.
