    trumpet .....blow

    OF cause it is,

It is called publicity..... I make no apologies, you have to use what ever media you can.

I do not make the program, I do not choose the content and I have nothing to do with editing.

I may come out looking the fool, but that is the chance you take.

This is the 17th different TV show I have been on, you make your own decision of the Trumpet blow.

    just received this email

Andrew Walmsley, Series Producer of 'Salvage Hunters Series 10', Curve Media:

    Dear John,

Thank you for taking part in the filming of the first program in the new series of Salvage Hunters, we are delighted with your contribution!

The new series starts on Quest this Wednesday 18th January at 21.00. You feature in episode 1 (18.01.17 at 21.00) on the Quest Channel - Freeview Channel 37 (+ 1 Channel 38). You can also find Quest on Sky Channel 144 (+1 Channel 195), Virgin Channel 172 (+1 Channel 173).

There are various repeats throughout the week - please visit

    www.questtv.co.uk/tv-listings for full listings.

I do hope you enjoy the programme.

    With best wishes,
    Andrew

You'd think a TV producer would know how to spell 'programme'

Why do people put so much emphasis on spelling correctly.

Does it matter, some people like myself had little education, learning to read in adult life. (thank God for spell check)

Can I ask why you think a TV producer would have to correctly spell. It is like saying, you would expect a piano tuner to play the piano or a typewriter mechanic to be able to type.

May be Lamparilla could SHED SOME LIGHT on my observation.

I think you've missed the point. It's nothing to do with education. I would never stoop so low as to berate someone for their lack of it, because there are always mitigating circumstances.

In the UK, 'program' is correct in the context of computer software. It's an Americanism, and I use it myself when referring to software. 'Programme' refers to a scheduling, or the booklet you buy at a football match or theatre.

The problem is that so much software works on American spellcheck software. In typing the above, even this site site tried to 'correct' 'programme' to 'program'!

Thanks for keeping your reply free of personal abuse - a refreshing change on here.

I enjoyed the TV programme last night - you came across very well.

I always thought The Manor was the big house not the converted stables at the back
