Seems glaciers in East Antarctica are now on the move....Advice is sea-level would rise by 28metres if all the ice in the at-risk drainage basins were to melt - hope you can swim!

It would also appear however that the Antarctic sea ice is at the same level as it was, 100 years ago. And slightly larger than 30 years ago. A win/lose situation possibly.

Difference is, sea-ice is already afloat in the sea. So come melt or freeze, it has no direct effect on sea-level.....Whereas glaciers/meltwater entering the sea, permanently raises global sea-level.
