    Educated Parrot

The owner of a parrot called Jessie, was concerned that the bird had got injured as it had remained on his roof for three days without coming down. So he called the fire brigade to rescue it.

The leading fireman who went up to the roof, with some food to try to coax her down. The fireman was trying to get the bird to come to him when she
launched a foul-mouthed tirade against the fire crew, telling the fire fighters to “f*** off”.

This reminds me of another story when a glazier was instructed to turn up to an address to repair a window.
He knocked on the door a few times, but no-one came to the door. He knocked again and he heard someone shout "Come in". He tried the door, but it did not open. So he knocked again, only for the same voice shouting "Come In". By now the tradesman was becoming very frustrated, then the occupier returned home and he found out that it had been the man's parrot he had been listening to.

Does anyone have any other amusing stories about talking birds or does anyone remember the Myna Birds in Botanic Gardens?

I remember in the seventies when the drinking fountains in the Botanic gardens worked, and a parrot there used to ask the ladies to "show us your knickers".

1970's parrots were really clever-they did sketches on 'The Comedians' particularly that one called Duggie Brown.

Ha!Ha! I do not remember that one. The kids used to like the Myna birds talking though.
