Footie Season Beckons. NOW ALSO THE GAP

Big season ahead for both Everton and Liverpool, Everton with yet another new manager , and Liverpool have spent a lot of money , Southport seem to be on the up , as are Tranmere . Should be an interesting season .

As a Man. United fan, it pains me to say it, but I think Liverpool have a shot at the title this season. Depends on how often Man City slip up in those dark winter fixtures away from home.

    I was very impressed with Liverpool pre-season. Everton - 7 or 8.

I don't think the top 4 will change a lot, Mourinho is due to throw his toys out of the pram and move on, so I don't see us challenging for the title.

I think it will be quite interesting to see how Gerrard performs in his training for the Anfield job.

Manchester Utd baffle me at moment Toodles , why are they interested in a 29 year old CB , who for me is no better than what is there at the moment . Mourinho doesn't impress me with his attitude , he's paid a fortune to manage the club yet all he does is criticise the players and is constantly telling the club he wants more players , why can't he use the likes of Rojo and Pogba who he bought .
hopefully Liverpool have addressed and strengthen thier squad and will do well .
Gerrard I think will make a decent manager in time .
I think City will win the PL but not by the margin as last time .

It’s already started GR, kicked off at Telford on Saturday, not the ideal start we would have wished for, but I still think we’ll be there or thereabouts come next April. Probably a similar expectation for Liverpool. As for Gerrard, I’m still baffled why he would take on a poisoned chalice like Rangers. He’s far too good to be plying his trade in a league that in truth is no better than the English third and fourth divisions.

I hope it is going to be a Merseyside year.

and the Manchester reign ends .

    Lets have some predictions.

Liverpool to finish 2nd behind Man C
    Burnley to be relegated
    Everton to win the F.A.Cup

I wonder what odds I would get.

Yes decent performance at Telford I'm told , think the club is at last moving in the right direction , I hope the do well
Gerrard I think has to ply his trade in the the lower reaches if football to learn management skills . And yes I agree with your comment re the Scottish league . Spot on .

Mourinho seems to lose the dressing room, the players stop playing for him (as in Chelsea) and he flounces out to be the 'chosen one' elsewhere. I've seen no real improvement in the club since he's been there. OK, we were second to an excellent team who had a remarkable season. But watching United was tedious. I reckon we'll be lucky to be third or fourth. I agree, City top, Liverpool second and either Spurs or Chelsea in the mix.

We were poor at Telford, a real disappointment after they had played some excellent football in the three PSF’s at Haig Ave. Never mind, an early chance to put things right tomorrow night.

Using odds of say 9/2, 3/2on, 10/1, 20/1. Not using a calculator and in my head, I would say about 2000/1.

Disappointing result for The port . Let's hope they can improve and have a good season ON THE PITCH AS WELL AS IN THE BOARD ROOM.

Talented people from all professions ply their trade wherever they can achieve the greatest job satisfaction. Whilst being suitably rewarded for their skills. It's an international game or hadn't you noticed?? If British players are good enough and have the commitment, they will reach the top as well. Now why don't you confine your comments to subjects you know something about. An imaginary journey through France via Google Earth seems to be about your limit.
