In tonights news of the Liverpool paper, the costly phantom Police Commissioner has stated that everyone will have to fork out more Council Tax as the Police need £18 million.

In these times of austerity - may I remind you.
We have had Police Services cut in Southport just after a Police Commissioner's highly remunerated position, complete with an assistant Commissioner and a full compliment of 35 administration staff was introduced and funded by the government - supposedly to reduce Police Authority costs in the area. In addition to a metro mayor's position suddenly appearing out of the blue for unknown reasons - to now include additional administration staff, at a huge cost and funded by the Government. Plus, in these times of austerity - a huge new Police Station is to be built in Liverpool costing £millions - surely it is not unreasonable to expect such funding to stretch to the additional funding to the Police? Has the Police Commissioner's department failed in their duties?
