    Jump on board with me.
Council have to put you somehwere, we are going into the homesless hostel in Litherland. Last night on Coppers a man was stabbed at one of these places, the kids watched it, wasnt good.
The council, if you go that route will pay for your storage so people that have offered storage for me, I dont need it thankyou, maybe Bambi could take it.
Also today Im getting in touch with those that have offered to drop off boxes for me free of charge, maybe they can do the same for you. I applied to the housing register last week but have learned that a polish family got the house. I was 175th to bid for it.
Keep your chin up and pm me if theres anything I can do, only words or advice.

Hi hun, they offered me the hostel, im ok for that, it would not help my situation at all, hense the kids goin to my mums temp, i have boxes etc , its jus the whole housing situation that winds me up, every door slammed in my face! Ive been renting for 25 yrs, prob paid equivalent to a mortgage...dont even get me started on Christians against poverty or the housing place, in Eastbank st!! Who know what next, but as u say, no job or houses cause there taken by forigners... Pffft... Rental prices r a joke and capping housing is going to make life worse.

Frightening situation for both of you, and anyone else in this position, and I do agree it is going to get worse.

Bambi, were you a home owner who has been unable to pay the mortgage? I hope you don't mind me asking, a friend was in this situation some months ago and says now it was the best thing that could have happened - in hindsight. In stead of struggling to pay his mortgage he is now coping much better as he doesnt have the same bills and stress. I know that's no consolation to you at the moment, I'm just trying to show you someone who has been there and is now better off financially and mentally. I wish you good luck

I think I'd be tempted to agree to their requests on paper. Take the hostel accommodation but make sure your kids actually sleep at their grandparents. That way you will qualify for whatever help is out there.

Mate. Im not having a go at you but my two where born and bred in a tiny village on the edge of Dartmoor, and they're are going to have to go in that hostel. Both my parents are dead .
I dont want them in this hostel, of course I dont, I cant sleep at night for the worry and am losing weight rapidly. But its a means to an end.

I know of a family (single parent, two children) who were in the same position, they went into the homeless unit at Litherland (they said it was ok and no were near as bad as they had imagined it might be)..... after 10 days, they were re-housed in Southport by a Housing Association.
Topsy, I know from previous threads that you have said you may want to return to Devon?...... you should also mention this to the powers that be at the Homeless Section, they may be able to help relocate you there too, as I think councils have some sort of agreement with each other over these matters.

The homeless unit in litherland is ok the caretaker is ex policeman and a nice guy,he won't put up with any noise or scallywags upsetting the people liveing there.
They seem to have a high turnover,so it might not be a bad move in the short term.

    best of luck anyway.

    Thanks

Devons out of the question I meant to say, the kids dont want to move again so far, they're both settled in their respective schools now and it would be too much upheaval. We sat and had a long chat about it.
Anyway after reading these posts Im not quite as anxious about Litherland.

    Homeless!

It may be a long shot, this is the landlord to 2 of my grand daughters. I know he has quite a lot of properties. 01704 552270. Ask for Sylvia, or if asked for extension it is 121. Good Luck.

Thankyou Beau, thats really kind of you, and to anyone else who I havent thanked yet. Im pretty much resigned to it now, am just packing etc. It'll all be alright in the end. Couldnt help but think whilst packing that theres people waking up today after the awful horrific events of last night in Southport, without their loved ones, Im thankful that me and my two are ok , yes it'll be a bit of upheaval and messing around but fingers crossed and gods good it'll all be ok in the end. xx
