    Increased security

I have just returned home after doing some
shopping at the Brent Cross Shopping Centre in North London..

This is the first time I have seen security officers checking peoples bags before they enter the shopping centre ...

My daughter told me that central London was swarming with security officers...

People are definitely feeling a little jittery in this neck of the woods...

Has anyone else noticed an update in security since the recent incident ?

And yet - four weeks ago a small fire on the tube train at Oxford Circus, caused more havoc on a train that was filled with smoke, but received less media attention. Tell you what though, the plastic bucket that was reported to have held the bomb that caused the fire this time must have been made with some special material - it never even melted nor changed colour.

The fire was an electrical fault not a deliberate attempt to maim and kill.

Builders buckets are meant to be tough aren't they?

I was in London a few weeks ago for the World Athletics and flew out of Gatwick yesterday, tbh regularly see armed police at Euston no noticeable increase at Gatwick yesterday but was prior to threat level being increased.

I hope security is still as good at Euston.

No visible armed police today at Piccadilly.
