If religion becomes a cause of dislike, hatred and division, it were better to be without it, and to withdraw from such a religion would be a truly religious act. For it is clear that the purpose of a remedy is to cure; but if the remedy should only aggravate the complaint it had better be left alone. Any religion which is not a cause of love and unity is no religion. All the holy prophets were as doctors to the soul; they gave prescriptions for the healing of mankind; thus any remedy that causes disease does not come from the great and supreme Physician.

There are many from various walks of life and ethnic backgrounds, who are known to the police for a variety of reasons, but sadly we can't lock everyone up on suspicion alone, plus of course if the police undertook close survaillance there would be instant shouts of "police state"etc, etc.
Yes it would seem that anyone suspected of terrorist activity and sympathy should be taken and quietly disposed of, but what sort of country and people would that make us?.
Once again this person is a disgusting apology of a man, unfit to be classed as an
intelligent human being, too stupid to realise that he is being used and his actions
will lead to obscurity, not as these thickos believe, for sure if there is a god he will
have a long time in hell.
Keep our thoughts for those killed and injured, for all those who helped without any thought of reward, remember many of those taxi drivers who turned their cabs into a free get you home service were also muslim.

If it was in China or Russia the "known to the police person" would some how just disappear.

Certainly and I would expect quite a lot of agreement with.that, but RUSSIA has problems with terrorists, drug and criminal gangs, China I would imagine less so, but do you wish to live under such tight state control?

Yeah, I'd love to live in either of those countries... NOT.

As is the case if the police disagree with your political views, sexuality or religion.
I'm not justifying it in any way, but terrorism has become a cost of being a democracy. I think that we are just going to have to live with that. I found the loss of those young lives very upsetting, but at least we don't have to defend democracy by sending our young people to be slaughtered in their hundreds of thousands like we used to every 30 or so years.

Democracy for whom. ....? Forcing democracy on countries which are still
considered 3rd world was an extremely bad move by the West...look at the Middle East today..a bloody catastrophe ...you say we have to live with terrorism, I think you are mistaken...we have to take more serious precautions to stamp it out in the UK..the Brits have the ability to do this.
Horrifically, We paid the ultimate price for that huge mistake of forcing democracy on countries who will never embrace that way of life..
The ultimate price, the slaughtering of our llittle children and other innocents, murdered by homegrown fanatics, who were brainwashed by fundamentalist terrorists ...the increased hatred spreading in our communities is like a terminal cancer. It was/is easy to convince these weak young British born men to commit suicide...they have no regard for the mayhem they leave behind them, both for the victims and their families and friends...
My heart goes out and cries for those families who have been devasted by their loss and fatal injuries of their loved ones...
Our security services and paramedics worked in the most awful of circumstances...they are our heroes...it must have been a nightmare for them..
Security has to be the TOP priority of keeping Britain safe...

Agree..Yet countless boatloads of would-be immigrants continue to set off from Libya each year. Imo, it's time the EU put its foot down and returned those being rescued from the Med to the port where they set off from. Then set up an immigration office over there, where asylum seekers can apply/be screened etc, to weed out troublemakers.

At what expense? There must always be a compromise between something's function and its security. Secure it too much and you defeat the purpose—imagine bricking up your windows and doors at home.
I'm with Albion on this one. Maintaining stoicism isn't helped by our media, who thrive on our terror, anger and grief for their sales, views and clicks.

The problem with that is Libya is not deemed by the UN as a 'Safe Country'.
If the Americans (& us) had not interfered in Libya then Europe would have had the buffer to prevent the migrants entering Libya to gain access to Europe. The same goes for Iraq & Syria, they were the buffer to Turkey & Greece.
