Mourinho sacked
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46603018
Presumably as they're going to appoint a caretaker, it means that their target can't be released until the end of the season.

After what I witnessed at Anfield on Sunday I'm not surprised, the man had lost the players , they haven't been playing for him for months ,now you will see a change of attitude from the players .

Not least Pogba - he seems to think he runs the club.

They must have somebody lined up, would be very foolish not to have.
The 'Special One' now found out that he's not so special.

I think they will pay due diligence this time Alikado, they made mistakes with the last three , and they thought Mourinho would be thier Messiah.
I've said all along that Fergies retirement would be a noose around thier neck . And it is turning out that way .
I also think some of thier current players should hang thier heads in shame as thier performances have hardly been professional. But I think Mourinho had to go . His attitude is outdated in the modern game as are his "Man Management " skills. The whole club is a mess including the board , CEO, and all the owners are worried about is the share price because the club is just a "cash cow" for them .

Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

Pity they can't temporarily appoint Pogba as a player/manager - with the proviso that the team win 90% of their remaining matches or he goes too

There will be some worried Spurs fans

If Spurs make the top four, I would doubt very much that Pochettino would consider taking on a club that has gone from top club to mediocre.
Mourhino will no doubt have a hefty pay out in his contract.

About time too. He'd lost the dressing room early last season. It's all very well telling the world you are the 'Special One', but I'd assume your players take a little more convincing.
Yes he's won a bag of silverware, but playing styles change. What might have worked 5 - 10 years ago doesn't always work now. Plus if you stick to one formula, it doesn't take an intelligent manager, Klopp for example, to work out how to thrash you every time.
I'm glad that Ole is caretaker. I'd like to see Pochettino there next season. Though I reckon it's going to take a lot of convincing to go from a top 4 club to one languishing mid-table. Oh well. Fourth time lucky...

The only plus is knowing United players must be fluent in Portuguese.
