Well, I hoped to meet that someone in my daily life and the years went by and no one. I then joined a dating site and oh my God, weirdo alert! Two weeks of that and I though forget it! Turns out I did meet my lovely partner in my daily life, right under my nose at work for a long time before we got together. So the lesson is, look around you more before the dreaded online stuff, he or she might be right there and you just don't see it .

I don't think I declared my hand at the time as a Qlocal-er, but I think I might have been one of those weirdoes ! It was a fairly cursory inspection of each others fish stocks online if I remember rightly !

I agree! Went looking for lodgings in Fleetwood in 1959, met the landlady's daughter and we still kiss each other goodnight, 58 years later.

Probably because there are no film star looking, top sportspeople, educational geniuses with a great sense of humour found on the streets.
