Where do we all stand?

It's a bit expensive, the one I looked at £145 for 4, £245 for 8, I want to take the pony home for that!

I have never believed in giving children mixed messages on delinquency.

Not a particular horse or pony fan, but this is wrong for as many reasons you can think of, using any animal as an entertainment object is no better than keeping animals in cages or circuses, wonder if these same parents would be as happy to offer their children up as objects for painting, doubt it somehow.

I am given to understand that the horses are not harmed and do not suffer from the effects of such treatment. I also understand that young people are taught how to be gentle and how to approach the animal. The high fees are to cover the cost of transport and to help with the keep of the horses.

This is not a new fad - equine courses involving the painting of horses has been used for many years to point out where muscles and joints of horses are, and also gymkana's have a horse fancy dress parade where horses have been painted. This also includes the braiding of a horse's main and their tails.

It could be argued that the horse receives a lot of attention which most enjoy and benefit from. If a horse does not want to do something - it makes this very, very clear.

Cruelty? What about dogs being made to wear coats? What about dogs being pushed around in push chairs? What about neglected animals? Bullfighting? Hunts? Hare coursing? Dog Fighting? Cock fighting? Bear baiting?etc., Where is the protection for these animals? These horses live a prince's life in comparison.
