Rare bird at the pumping Station ?

Could anyone please tell me what the interest is at the pumping station in Crossens. Yesterday there were loads of cars and I believe people have already started arriving this morning, complete with binoculars. Thanks

Would that be the same local that I saw walking his dog alongside the sluice , on the marsh, right in front of the birders behaving themselves by sticking to the path on the bank.
Probably thought it a 'a right laugh' to scare all the birds off.

Are local people not supposed to exercise either themselves or their dogs when twitchers deign to descend?

I think you'll find it's because a rare bird has descended - maybe they could fence off the sky and ask the birds to go elsewhere.
