    Sound advice from Brendan Chilton.

Regretfully, Labour Leave believe Britain must now make its priority
preparing for a ‘no deal’ outcome: reverting to standard global trade,
under WTO rules. Our proposal is the following: take the £60-100 billion
that the EU wishes to extract from us and pay it to ourselves instead –
to smooth over the transition to WTO – a ‘transition fund’.

If the EU wants to come to a reasonable agreement in good time – so much
the better. But we should assume firstly that it has no intention of
doing so; secondly, that it is much more likely to if Britain is
genuinely preparing for ‘no deal’; and, finally, that reverting to
standard trade is really not the calamity it is depicted to be – it is
the basis on which most of the world trades.

It seems quite clear now that the central aim of the EU is to punish
Britain: to extract as much money as possible, to refuse to negotiate in
a grown-up way by insisting we agree a fee before discussing what we get
for our money and to make Brexit so calamitous for the British people
that no other country will ever want to leave. Of this there can now be
    little doubt.

No deal is better than a bad deal.

Not sure how this could work, we as a country are already committed to a number of joint ventures within the EU, does anyone really believe that we can just step aside from them and everything will just carry on.

Agree the EU's priority appears to be extracting maximum sums of money from the UK and yes they probably believe they can make life difficult, particularly while we have a fractured government barely in power, a PM with little control or authority, a PM who in making a bid for stronger powers and position, shot herself firmly in the foot.

Currently our Brexit team appear to be floundering with nothing useful to say or even negotiate on, in the meantime our country suffers from the indecision and lack of any momentum, without leaving the EU we are already seeing many of the downsides, inflation rising, not due to pay rises or spending, but simply because our currency is weak.

They say it takes two to Tango, but when your partner keeps treading on your toes, you become a little reticent about placing your feet in the correct position even though you know you're making all the right moves.

If all else fails, why you may even need to get a new partner; who knows, it might even progress to an Argentine Tango!

Prepare for no deal which will be a step back from the situation we were in before we joined the Common Market, we had trade deals and agreements a plenty but long queues of wagons at ports. No deal will be a situation lead to their return, no Interpol and Air Traffic Control holdups.

    Hardly.

It makes the post difficult to read (content is usually bollocks anyway) and the response is typical of the ‘little club’ this once half decent site has become.

A weak currency is not all bad - it means that we get to export far more than we import. The latest move with Brexit is that the Government are contemplating whether to agree to EU members fishing in our waters. There has been an online protest against this, as our fishing industry has suffered enough as it is - if the EU want British fish, then they will have to buy it!

In theory that should be the case, but in fact our exports continue to fall, one thing many don't recognise, is that much of what we produce relies on imported material and/or parts, those imports are increasing the base manufacturing prices before we even start.

Our car industry for instance is mainly assembling parts which are partly home sourced or imported. I would doubt very much that any cars are produced from scratch in this country.

The fishing industry is definitely in need of attention, but remember in too many cases our own fishing industry sold their quotas to foreign fisheries, even with the EU there are still quotas on many areas and our own fisheries sold them.
