Further to my original post, for the sake of any misunderstanding I was not meant to sound as some sort of self congratulatory writing. I was trying to show how good and nice Southport is.

Southport is a great place.

I agree Normal.
Southport was built for wealthy holidaymakers many of whom donated
and built the original facilities now missed.
It is now a home for all who wish to live in irrespective of class or wealth.

Cannot have it both ways.
