Station Master's House Portland St

Does anyone know what is happening to the Station Master's House by Portland Street railway crossing? They have had the scaffolding up for 12 weeks and don't seem to be in a hurry to finish.

It was the first railway station in Southport and is now leased by Southport Model Railway society so maybe they are doing it up?

You could say that! - They have been re-pointing the building and repairing the roof - though it would have been better in traditional red pointing and the joints made to look straighter.

Yep, if Wikipedia is correct. It was the original terminus of what is now the northern line before Chapel Street station was built.
