Traffic Jams - Air show
If you are heading along Marine Drive from the Preston Direction - turn off on Fairways, to Albert Road and Lord Street. If you carry on - road closures means queues of traffic along Marine Drive leading over Marine Bridge where the lights take forever to change.

Traffic nowhere near as bad as previous air shows, probably to do with the Red Arrows not being part of the show this year.

I thought the same, I came from Tarleton down the bypass at 12pm on Saturday and 10:45 on Sunday and road was clear all the way to Southport. I've never seen it that quiet in over 15 years.

Saturday the traffic seemed lighter than a normal Saturday and Sunday teatime I went to Banks and the traffic was backed up to the BP garage, so not much heavier than normal, all certainly less than a Sunny Sunday in Summer.

I think the security had all but given up on the Sunday. We just walked down to the beach and watched the air show.

The roads seemed more congested on Friday than on either of the airshow days
