I think all proprietary brands available in your garden centre etc are pretty much the same so long as you get the correct one for the job, there is strong government legislation in place covering the manufacture and use of garden chemicals.

You also need to think about the type of weed killer

    Systemic
    Contact
    Residual

Have you considered a weed wand?

Round up spray weedkiller is very good.

Don't do like I did a few weeks ago. A man knocked at my door offering to power wash my front path, side path , patio area and rear drive way. He said that he would apply weed killer as well. All for £240. Used all my water, spent 3 hours at least. It did look good. He then asked for £280 cash, argued saying that was the price quoted.

Well 4 weeks later the weeds have started to come through the block paving & flags

Yes, I was taken for a ride

Don’t know about the strongest but I am probably using the cheapest. Diluted white vinegar. Just got some more 5 litre containers of it from Amazon.
There are recipes on Google that use salt and vinegar, diluted.
Seems very effective - at the moment. Am hoping that when it has all been done, the first hint of a new weed will result in a quick vinegar spray! The garden does smell like a chip shop for half an hour afterwards though!

As an added bonus, it works.

Ammonium Sulphamate is a very good compost accelerant, it used to be an excellent product for weed control until it was banned by the EU. One of the few products that could control among other things the indefatigable Japanese Knotweed and Horsetail/Mare's Tail. It is still available, but remember, only to be used as a compost accelerant.
