Would I get into trouble to make it public on where abouts a convicted pedophile lives here in Southport? This dirty bit of scum is roaming our streets in Southport and parents should know for the safety of their children.

sounds a bit risky...you would have to be 100% sure of your facts, otherwise injustices would happen, it may put many male teachers, youth workers etc at risk by ruhmour and inuendo, an innocent person could be targeted

Some of you lot need to get your bloody brains in gear. You assume in the first instance that you've got the right info. Then there's nothing stopping someone else misreading the address or a Chinese whisper effect distorting the information. What if this person isn't the only one seen coming in or going out (deliveries, tradespeople)? What if they move out and someone else moves in by the time a vigilante decides to act?

There are almost certainly more reasons. Find other ways to make the world a better place.

You have a responsibility to find a way to let us know, I'm not out for blood just want to keep my two beautiful grandkids safe from the abuse that I know too many people have suffered, I know someone who killed themselves because she could not live with the shame of what happened to her, even tho she was told repeatedly she wasn't to blame she was a victim.

A lot of people feel anger at horrific crimes.

Once back in the community the offender has the probation service and various other departments aware of their history.
Whenever a similar crime in the area occurs the police may also call to
check on alibi etc.

Professional involvement is acceptable to the offender he has no choice and if complies without further offending is offered the chance of a semi normal existence in a community.

The worry with vigilante pressure is the risk the offender could just as equally break parole conditions and attack another victim.
No one would want to risk that.

Far better parents protect their children from the risk of undesirables all the time not just when an ex offender moves into the area.

Sadly for every spent or dead sexual predator another one is a sleeper in a community until the crime.
