Since sell by date etc has been introduced, so much food stuff is wasted.

Do others, like myself, ignore that nonsense by smelling and tasting before I use it. It's just another ploy to get people to waste their money.

My daughter chucks loads of stuff away and I always shout that she should taste it first. Specially Yogurts and milk.

Bread is in the freezer, takes minutes to defrost for sandwiches and toast from frozen, everything else is eaten well past dates just apply common sense.

Whichever - when you fill up your tank with supermarket fuel - you get to save about 50p, not worth queueing up for anyway.

Trouble is, it is not 50p less - Morrisons in Preston is usually 3 or 4p per litre cheaper than Morrisons, and 5 - 6p cheaper than branded forecourts so the saving is around £3.00 a tankful - if you fill up every week that's a saving of over £150 per year of taxed income - £200+ to earn before tax and NI. Not a lot of money I suppose, but I would rather have it in my bank rather than in the petrol companies.

On the A580 East Lancs,the 24/7 Asda garage prices were 117.9per Ltr for Diesel,or 114.9per Ltr for Unleaded,payments by cash or cards at the manned kiosk.
