Ormskirk's third Gingerbread Festival is set to be an appetising start to a summer of fun.
The Gingerbread Festival, which is organised by Ormskirk Community Partnership (OCP) and West Lancashire Borough Council, supported by the Ormskirk Town Centre Management Group and Ormskirk businesses, is on Sunday 15th July from 11am-5pm.
Visitors can enjoy Gingerbread decorating, cookery demonstrations, plenty of artisan and craft stalls, lots of live music, and a variety of street food. There will also be a preview of some of the cars coming up at MotorFest which is another great event planned for Ormskirk in August.
John Harrison, Director of Development and Regeneration at West Lancashire Borough Council said: “The Gingerbread Festival is a fantastic event that local families really enjoy. It's great to see everyone coming together enjoying what Ormskirk Town Centre can offer.”
Throughout the day there will be children's' entertainment from Mr Stix, Circus entertainers provided by Edge Hill University, and vintage games. There is something on offer for all ages.
Ormskirk Community Partnership (OCP) and local historical groups will be in Church St, with displays of photographs and maps of Ormskirk from different eras, as well as other heritage materials on show.
Dave Mutch from Ormskirk Community Partnership said "It is great to see Ormskirk's Gingerbread Festival grow over the last couple of years. It will be a wonderful event for all the family, so come along and take part in the festivities and enjoy all the entertainment on offer."
There is free parking in all Council car parks on this, and every, Sunday in Ormskirk.
