At 3.20pm, emergency services attended the junction of Cambridge Road and Park Crescent where a 75-year-old male driver was released from a blue Jaguar X-Type after it was in a collision with a yellow Ford Transit van and two bollards. He was taken to hospital after he was believed to have suffered a medical episode and his condition is described as serious, but stable.
Earlier the same day, a report was received at about 12.30pm that the Jaguar car had been in a minor collision with a parked vehicle on Emmanuel Road. Noone was injured in that incident.
