Merseyside Police has arrested four people and recovered drugs and suspected stolen motorbikes as part of a crackdown on anti-social behaviour and drug dealing in Litherland on Friday 10 February.
A warrant was executed at an address in Moss Lane, resulting in the recovery of suspected cocaine, cannabis, cash and scales, and a suspected stolen scrambler bike.
A 32-year old man, a 27-year-old man, a 46-year-old woman, and an 18-year-old man, all from Litherland, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs, and all were taken to police stations for questioning. They have been released pending further enquiries.
A further warrant was executed at an address in Bark Road, resulting in the recovery of a suspected stolen Gilera scooter and alloy wheels. Enquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible.
Letters and flyers were also delivered to local people in the area for reassurance and to ask more information on the illegal and criminal use of off-road motorbikes and drug dealing.
Community Policing Sergeant Peter Sprung said: "This activity is about police, partners and our community working together to make the streets in which we live, work and visit places to be proud of. Anti-social behaviour, off-road bikes and drug dealing have a major impact on the quality of life of residents, and we are determined to use all our powers to tackle these issues.
"Positive action like this relies on information from the community, so I would like to encourage residents to continue engaging with us and we will act on all information received."
Members of the community with any further information are encouraged to speak with officers in the area, or call 101. Anyone with information who does not wish to speak with us directly can call Crimestoppers anonymously and for free on 0800 555 111.
