More guttersnipe reporting from the mentally ill Phil Rodwell.

Yes, but wouldn't a club the size of Southport benefit from the revenue? Man City can afford to charge these kind of prices. Additionally! Would Man City be charging that kind of amount it they thought they would guarantee to fill the ground on a cold November night? I'd say not, empty seats is an embarrasment when you're one of the richest clubs in the word is it not. It's purely based on selling seats to fill the ground, not that it's a bargain! For the record I'm a Liverpool fan!

O.T.S in CLAPHAM OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
The man can't even spell Barnet !

If you dont want to pay £15. then don't go.
Southport is not a wealthy as it neighbours like Wigan and Man C.
This is a chance for Southport to take an extra £5000.
Not much when you think of it.
One Man C. player earns more in a week than Soutport make in a season.
The balance is not right.
That is why banning a photographer with all the nationwide publicity that comes with it just does make sence.
One thing.
If you let the kids in free, you have another generation of supporters for free.
Let the camera man in and you get your publicity free.
-
Surely its Arsenal v Man City if its at the Emirates, not Man City v Arsenal. More rubbish reporting

Clueless Rodwell (and vanny to be fair) with his facts wrong, as usual.
The price has to be agreed by both clubs. SFC wanted to reduce to rate, Barnet didn't. SFC wanted concession rates, Barnet didn't. This was also the case with the Stockport game.
Let the camera man in? No the camera man cost us future adidas filming deals. The real fans don't want him back.
Thanks, but no thanks.

I can't believe that Southport have the nerve to charge the prices above and not give any discounts to pensioners and children for a match against a struggling Barnet side who will be lucky to bring 100 fans with them on Saturday afternoon.

No, just a case of some posters who can't read properly or comprehend what was written...:-)

In any case, Manchester City do charge less for youngsters and OAPs when they play European or Carling Cup matches at Eastlands - in fact such prices are lower or similar to those charged at Haig Avenue for run of the mill league games. A pal whose a City fan only paid £10 earlier in the season for a European cup game..:-))

I can't actually believe that anyone in their right mind would pay anything watch Southport FC in any competition, so I suggest that you go and bang your own head at Haig Ave on Saturday.

The usual discounts for over 65s will apply (£10 seating, £9.50 standing)
The usual discounts for under 16s (£5) and under 11s (free) will not apply but they will still pay the same discounted rate that over 65s will pay.
Of course this has been conveniently omitted from the original report.

Is this including train fare/petrol to London!?
-
The directors will be sitting smug in their chairs knowing fans are paying through the roof for tickets.

Here here

A reduction in revenue at the gate is hardly an issue at the big Premier League clubs who earn larger amounts in from sponsorship & TV. There will probably come a day when they let people in free just to provide a full house and atmosphere to make a better spectacle for those watching on Television.
-
£10 seems about right to watch Arsenal's Academy team.
-
yes go and watch the port and line charlies pockets once again he most certainly wont be putting it back into the club
-
Could somebody please remind me of the two pictures which is Haig Ave, not been to Southport FC for some time...???
-
cavjj - well said but yes, you are banging your head against a brick wall, obviously poeple dont or cant read! Its up to both teams to agree the entrance prices, and Barnet are taking the same stance Stockport took in having no concessions. The chap on the gate actually apologised against Stockport when I paid for myself and my son.
Harping on about 'lining Charlies pockets'.....who's pockets are you lining when you go to over-rated, over-priced, often uninspiring Premiership matches (thats if you go to games) - i'd rather line Charlies pockets than give it to some foreign owner.
Finally, this thread is a very cheap shot at Southport FC - you dont want your town team to do well? Cheekyche - you are so right that if we got a big draw if we got to round 3, most of the negative posters on here would be there in their daft hats, gloryhunting for the day.....i say stay away. Im happy to have my season ticket and stand with those who care
-
I agree with grim_reaper, if u don't like your home town team don't bother turning up we don't want you there.
What I don't understand is people from Southport would rather support teams like Everton and Liverpool and Manchester United, the only reason I can think of is there glory hunters.
UP THE PORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
