A missing sex offender who was convicted in his absence at Preston Crown Court last week has handed himself in to police.
Richard Peet, 25, of Bonds Lane, Banks, was convicted on Wednesday, May 23rd of rape and indecent assault on a six year old girl following a trial in his absence at Preston Crown Court.
The judge deferred sentence for six months so he could be found.
He handed himself in to police at the weekend and will now be sentenced at Preston Crown Court on July 9th.
