After the successful Christmas Lights switch on at the weekend this was the scene just 24 hours later.
At 5.30 yesterday evening the two main Welcome to Southport decorations were not illuminated along with the Eastbank Street displays.
The roundabouts at either end of Lord Street were also in darkness.
The Christmas Tree in front of the Atkinson was also not switched on.
Most of the lights did eventually come on apart from the Christmas Tree which was still out at 8.00pm.

Just another example of Southport BID not being able to deliver what they promise!
Remember the days of fairy lights the length of the prom and Eastbank Street too? Never mind the ones in Formby village also. All provided by Forest Road Street lighting department and, the didn’t need replacing every year either!
