Following on from the Squad update and the Boardroom updates that have appeared recently, here is a commercial update from the Club around where we currently are, what we have coming up and what opportunities there are for your business to be involved with Southport Football Club moving forward.

As has previously been mentioned Southport are working alongside 2811 Sport Media. David Broadbent, founder of 2811 Sport Media will be based at the Club two days a week moving forward for the remainder of this season. This is to work alongside the Board or Directors and Commercial Manager Sarah Davidson on the opportunities for sponsorship deals for next season and beyond.

Part of this remit is to put together an events calendar for the Club to generate non-matchday income. You will have seen that we have launched our first two events of 2018. Firstly on Thursday, February 8th we welcome Brendan Riley to the Merseyrail Community Stadium as he brings his Comedy Bingo evening to the Club. Tickets are priced at just £12.50 and this includes your bingo and your supper as we look to raise funds for a new first aid unit. Please contact Sarah to book your places on what should be a great night of laughter

On Thursday March 1, we will be holding a Sporting Dinner at the Ramada Plaza Hotel where our guest speaker for the evening is former England International, Lee Sharpe. Hosting the event is top comedian Jed Stone, who will be providing the laughs! Tickets for the event are priced at £40 individually or £400 for a table of 10. At the time of writing we have one sponsorship package remaining, with full details of this on the Official website. We thank The Ramada Plaza Hotel and Premier Wealth Management for their sponsorship for what promises to be a fantastic event. Included within the ticket price is a delicious three course meal. On the night we will also have a raffle and auction with some top quality items available. Capacity for the evening is set at 220 and after less than a week we have already sold over 75 tickets.

We would ask for your input at this point, we are looking at a Gin festival, murder mystery night and a summer race trip as further events to hold, and possibly another comedy night. However, this is your Club and if there is any event that you would like to see take place then please feel free to contact us and weíll be happy to talk to you. We want to put a diverse calendar on of events to cater to all levels of budget.

The new Southport FC commercial brochures are very close to completion and we would expect them to be available within the next 10 days. These brochures will contain our packages for next season, and some which can be taken up for the remainder of this season. Please contact us if you are interested in receiving a copy of these new brochures.

Kit wise for next season we are in talks with a number of major brands who have expressed interest in working with us. We are after more than simply a kit supplier, we are looking for a partnership that will help us with not only the first team kit but also with improving the whole retail element of the Club and merchandise we have available.

In terms of Club partnerships, we would be delighted to meet with you over a coffee either at the Stadium or at your offices to talk about what an involvement with Southport FC can do for your business, we recognise that every business is individual and has different aims from a partnership with the Club and we will work to ensure that your aims are met.

Corporate hospitality has undergone a revamp over the last few months, if it is something youíve done with us before in previous seasonís then please look at us again as it a very different offering. Dívine produce an excellent meal for our guests and with hostess service throughout you can relax and enjoy the day with our inclusive bar facility.

This is a very exciting time for the Club and everyone involved. There is opportunity to join us on what should be a great journey and as a Club we want to work with your business.
