Following complaints from local residents about cars being sold as commercial business on the main arterial routes into/out of Southport, Sefton Council introduced a bye-law. The bye law prevents cars being parked up and offered for sale on the following roads:
PRESTON NEW ROAD
CAMBRIDGE ROAD (including Little Cambridge Road)
SCARISBRICK NEW ROAD.
Any resident who sees cars being offered for sale on these roads can report them to Sefton Council or their local Councillor, who will arrange for the seller to be contacted and told to remove the vehicles. Failure to remove them may lead to removal by the Council.
