The driver of this car seized in Southport by TX20 was using a fake Southern Ireland Driving Licence. He has done so for 7 years and has also been working as an HGV driver. Needless to say he won’t be doing again and is off to Court.

'Southern Ireland' - is that a new British colony, or do you mean the Republic of Ireland?

One wonders how you could know all this, prior to trial ?

Unbelievable. Are there no checks made by employers, or insurance companies.

This is just one who has been caught! Just how many others are there on our roads?
Can this be the reason why so many foreign drivers are involved in road accidents?

I once managed several staff. One day, this really likeable African member of staff mentioned that he had come into possession of a four wheel drive vehicle - he moaned that he would now have to get a British Driving Licence. The next day, the same lad asked if it would be alright to come in late on Thursday, as he had to go to London. When he came in on the Thursday night, having driven to work instead of using public services as usual - he said that it was OK, and showed me his 'British Driver's Licence' ! This still goes on.
