Festival of Learning.
Festival of Learning (previously Adult Learners’ Week) is one of the biggest celebrations of lifelong learning in England. The aim is to highlight the benefits of learning, celebrate the achievements of adults who have used learning to transform their lives, and to encourage everyone to embrace lifelong learning.
Sefton Adult Learning CentreAs part of the Festival of Learning, the Sefton Adult Education Centre will be opening their doors to the community on Thursday June 29, 10am -12noon and also 1pm-3pm, to showcase their courses and encourage people to try something new in September.
There will be opportunities for ‘have a go’ and ‘try something new’ workshops:
Tap dancing to fitness display
Ipad for Beginners
Creative Writing
Pot herbs
Floral Creations
English and Maths made fun
Spanish cookery demonstrations
Information workshops
Universal Credits and You
Improve Your Chances Of Employment
Festival and Event training
Employability courses
Starting Up Your Own Business
Spreadsheets, Budgeting
Using Desktop Publisher to create your leaflets and business cards
