We are delighted to announce that our incredible staff team at Freshfields Animal Rescue have been chosen as one of 2 finalists in the Charity Today 'Animal Welfare Charity of the Year' Awards.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get our dedicated workers the recognition they deserve! They put their heart and soul into their work, giving unconditional love and compassion every day to abused, abandoned and unwanted animals.

Debbie Hughes, Grants and PR, said:
‘Our staff team literally take their work home with them! Operations Manager Dawn has fostered hundreds of animals over the past 10 years. It makes all the difference to dogs like Buddy (pictured) to snooze on a warm, comfy sofa in a real home, whilst they wait for their forever family to come along.
Many animals come from traumatic situations of abuse and neglect, and this wonderful group of individuals transforms traumatic situations of abuse and neglect into new lives and loving new homes. We do this with the support of the local communities which we are proud to serve.
We are up against a larger animal rescue centre, which is based in London. It would be a great result for a local Merseyside rescue centre to scoop this prestigious award.
