Who mentioned those who don't wish to work?
Of course I do realise that in Tory la-la land, anyone in receipt of benefits is a sciver, scrounger a drain on society and the state, as for judging others, you're a little wide of the mark sure I now have a pension, but that is it no add ons, no extras and apart from one lengthy time off work due to injury, have worked all my life and still paying tax.
My comments are not driven by self interest, far from it, can you say the same?
Have no more time than you for fiddlers of any sort, but benefit fraud is not by a long way the biggest drain.

Well i will be fair now,I actually agree that pensioners should be cared for properly by the state making sure they want for nothing this is morally right , i agree the situation at the moment is not fit for purpose, but is this not the System created by the last Labour government not a Tory one so you need to talk to the war criminal Tony Blair and not me ,As for debate there is no debate needed we are not a magic money tree and never will be,The solution is quite simple really Stop paying benefits out to foreign parasites and start paying them to the people who need them,But there is no excuse for not working nor should there be,Greed is good

Greed is good, don't agree for one minute.
The proliferation of benefits was surprise, surprise started by a Tory government, Thatcher squandered North Sea revenues paying out benefits while she wrecked British industry and hiding the true unemployment figures, for instance miners were encouraged to apply for disability benefit through the mobility scheme and use that benefit to get a fully funded Motability car.
I agree that those able and capable of working should be working, sadly we now have a situation were even working is not always going to provide sufficient income, we most certainly do appear to be good at handing out benefits to those who have not contributed in any way.

Absolute and complete fabrication and a outright lie,The current benefit system was created by the last Labour government in the hope that giving people endless free money would buy votes,It has been the Tory party that has attempted to curtail the endless handout of money.Even worse The Marxist racist bigot Corbyn now wants to go one step further,Do you have anything to say that is not made up fiction and lies.

It's such a far fetched policy the General Secretary of the United Nations has now endorsed it https://basicincome.org/news/2018/09...-endorses-ubi/

Sorry if the truth hurts, facts are that Thatcher squandered North Sea revenue on benefits, just to keep you clear, at the time I was very much involved with the Motability scheme and a hell of a lot of people suddenly qualified for this particular benefit, which was not means tested therefore an easy avenue for moving people from one benefit to another, which did not register in the unemployment figures.
Sure the Tories have now reverted to type, but even at that make a total pig's ear of it, you may be surprised to learn that I am no more in favour of ad lib handouts than you are, benefits should be about help and support where needed, not a career choice.
One major move from Labour the in work benefit scheme was tackled from the wrong direction, that finished up subsidising low paying employers, instead of ensuring fair pay for all in work.
Where pray does Corbyn want to go further? sure he is dedicated to workers rights, pay and opportunity, very much anti the so called gig economy, supports investment in the country and very much against the ideological austerity which serves little or no purpose beyond hitting the least able.
Tory so called savings have saved very little beyond storing up more and more decline and future bills, which eventually we will all pay for, savings by just not paying the bills is not a realistic or long term saving, never has been, never will.
