A Level results celebrations continue at King George V College, as outstanding results enable students to successfully secure places to study at prestigious Universities.
Alec Morely, Cameron Neilson, Maddy Richards, Rebecca Stephens and Lucy Wright all gained the top results required to study at Oxford or Cambridge University.

Sam Walby who achieved Chemistry (A), Further Maths (A*), Maths (A*), Physics (A*) and will study Physics at Imperial College, London; Bethany Payet who achieved Fine Art (A*), Psychology (A*), Biology (A) and will study Fine Art at Lancaster University; Will Cope who achieved Geography (A*), Geology (A), Maths (A) and will study Geography at Durham University; Mark Jump who achieved Music (A), Maths (A), Philosophy (A) and will study Music at Leeds University; Sarah Lunt who achieved Biology (A*), Geology (A*), Maths (A*) and will study Biology at Durham University.
Acting Principal, Anne-Marie Francis, said, "We are tremendously proud of all our students as they progress to University and to see so many gaining places at top flight destinations is testament to the hard work and commitment of both students and staff."
Overall, 80% of KGV students achieved grades of A* to C, while over 55% received the highest possible grades and the College’s overall A-level pass rate is an impressive 99.7% with a significant number of subject areas achieving 100% high grades.
The college also received a 100% pass rate for BTEC Advanced Level Extended Diplomas with 97% of these at Distinction grade or above.
Anne-Marie added, "It really is a very proud day. I wish all our leavers every future success and also remind them we are always here for them and encourage them to keep in touch."
