Liam Watson tipped for Preston job
Southport FC manager Liam Watson has been strongly linked to become the new Preston North End boss.

SFC manager Liam Watson
Watson has been installed as second favourite with bookmakers Sky Bet to be named the next Preston manager.
Preston are looking for a new boss after sacking manager Phil Brown recently. They are currently sitting in 10th place in Division One.
Watson has led Southport to 3rd place in the Blue Square Premier Conference table after a great start to the season. He is in his second spell with Sandgrounders are rejoining the club in 2008.
Watson is well known at Preston after he was with the club as a player.

Supposedly Mellon the fleetwood boss is also in the running, they will know who they want but to make it fair other names have to be bandied about.

Pure speculation, it will never happen. Watson is a Part-time manager with no experience of the day to day running of a proffesional club. Did he not do a runner when Southport went full time, he prefered Burscough to the uncertainties of being a proffesional manager.
Preston would be bonkers to even consider him and Mellon.

Or as anyone who's watched football in the last 10 year calls it, League 1.
Division 1, was the old Premiership, it then became the old Championship, and is now redundant.
