As you seem to have difficulty with it, I'll spell it out really clearly:
- The The National Debt was higher at the end of Gordon Brown's Chancellorship compared to the start.
- The National Debt was higher in 2010 at the end of Gordon Brown's (brief) period as Prime Minister than at the beginning.
- The National Debt was higher at the end of of the Coalition Government in 2015 than at the beginning in 2010.
- The National Debt is higher now than at the beginning of the present Conservative Government in 2015
If you find pictures easier to understand you may find it helpful to refer to those at https://fullfact.org/economy/labour-...national-debt/
Not as much difficulty as you have in:
1) answering whether you are a cllr or not and therefore inappropriate to be debating political matters under a pseudonym
2) accepting the libs were part of the coalition and therefore cannot cherry pick the good things and shirk the bad to the "nasty tories"
Now, as you're graph shows, national debt has increased since labour including the period the libs were in coalition so it's disingenuous to just state the Tory government with your argument being based on now forgetting the five years of "fame".
However as I said in my other comment Damien Moore has done what we'd expect him to do,highlight the towns concerns. In my view it wouldn't be hard for him to surpass the lib dem achievements for the town as even a cheerleader like you are unable to reel off lib dem achievements and why the nasty spam filled campaign of the libs could have failed and "let the nasty Tories in"

Username2016, you post under a pseudonym; I post under a pseudonym. The only difference is I don't keep asking you who you really are.
So as to avoid accusations of gross hypocrisy on your part, would you kindly tell us all your real name and where you live.
Thanks

I haven't asked your name or address, I have asked whether you are a councillor or not as it's relevant if you are. A councillor is a paid elective so it's relevant if they're posting on local political matters and further demonstrating rosettes are out ahead of the people of the towns interest.
I am not a councillor and post as an annoyed local at the lack of working together for the town so to your point of gross hypocrisyI'm asking you "are you a councillor" for which I'm answering that I am not, why do you have such an issue in responding to the yes/no question. If you say no, I'm not looking for your name and address as you'd just be another local resident who has a different view to me.
Thanks

Really, pipe down!!!!!
So pre Sefton (before 1974) the tarmac was red, lamp post painted red and cream etc etc.....Just smacks of Labour mismanagement of their finances even then, but wait, that can't be it can it??? No, it must be someone else's fault.
I've always remembered Lord Street with red tarmac and so it should stay..

TM gave Labour a chance with her very badly run election campaign, probably the worst campaign ever seen and yet, she still won the election...
PS Lord Street tarmac should still be red :)

Haha. I think you'll find Bootle generates more income from business rates than the council tax and business rates in Southport combined. Nobody is subsidising Bootle. Most of Sefton's money goes on Southport's high care bill, one of the highest in the country - FACT. Sefton would be better off without Southport. Sadly this will never happen :-(

As the majority of Care Homes and Nursing Homes in Sefton are located in Southport, then I would agree with you. As for being one of the highest in the country, I've not seen that evidence..
KEEP the tarmac red in Southport :)

Adult social care costs the council 86.1 million per year. This is Sefton's biggest bill. Southport was also on national news not so long ago for having one of the highest bills in the country. The council doesn't even collect near that amount in council tax alone per year.
