Queenscourt Hospice is launching the 2016 Make a Cuppa Count Campaign, this time we are causing a stir, by providing fundraising packs for everyone who wants to carry out a Make a Cuppa Count party.
Parties can be held of a morning for Coffee or an Afternoon Tea party, mind you it doesn’t have to be tea or coffee you may prefer a glass of Presecco instead!
Queenscourt would like to encourage everyone to have a Make a Cuppa Count party this July, whether it is in the workplace, social club or a group of friends at home the choice is yours, so get in touch to claim your fundraising pack which includes tips on how to make the most of your party and your fundraising.
It’s easy to carry out a Make a Cuppa Count party, once you have invited your friends if you’re a baker you can decide what cakes to make and if you’re not then shop bought cakes can be just as delicious. You could also ask your guests to bring along a cake to help you. The more people who take part the more people Queenscourt can provide care for at a time when they most need it.
However much you fundraise will deliver benefit to the hospice, we have been asked that as Queenscourt requires millions how will my £10 make a difference? It really will make a difference over one year we received £37,732 in donations of £10 or less, so every penny really does count. For instance:
• £2.50 could help us prepare a special meal for a seriously ill patient who has difficulty eating.
• £25 could improve a patient’s quality of life by helping us provide them with a complimentary therapy session.
• £50 could help us support a patient to capture precious moments in a memory box for their loved ones.
If you would like to receive a Make a Cuppa Count fundraising pack then please call 01704 517420 or e-mail fundraising@queenscourt.org.uk.
