A 19 year-old man has been charged following a burglary at a shop in Southport.

Officers were called to the Spar store on Cambridge Road at 4.10am on Wednesday 10th January following reports that an offender had entered the premises and stolen two bottles of alcohol.

Joseph Parker, 19, of Chorley Road, Bolton, has been charged with burglary and remanded into custody to appear at South Sefton magistrates court this morning, Wednesday 21st March.
