In a series of Tweets Merseyside police have denied rumors on social media the the station is closing down.

Some people are still saying on social media that Southport Police Station is closed. This is NOT the case.

All Southport & Formby Local Policing Team officers start and finish ALL shifts at Southport Police Station, supported by other officers who also patrol the same area. See this twitter feed for the routes we cover on foot/cycle patrol and also in marked police vehicles.

The Enquiry Office at Southport police station is open Mon-Sat 08:00am to 10:00pm and Sundays 08:00am - 05:00pm
