Pictured at the new Scarisbrick Village Hall War Memorial are some of the members of West Lancashire Heritage Association committee.
The Memorial is dedicated to the brave men of Scarisbrick who lost their lives in World War 1; Scarisbrick PC paid £2,500 towards its cost, matched by a donation by WLHA to pay for its design/manufacture and erection which in all totalled £5,000.
Its ceremonial unveiling was on held on Armistice Day - the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. This was a very well attended event with members of the local community, local school children and clergy and parish councillors.
Said Bob Ireland from the Association: “This is an example of where some of the WLHA money is spent and we do hope members approve.”
