Following an extensive recruitment drive for new roles at the club in May, Southport Football Club are pleased to announce the fourth member of staff to join the new team is Daniel Gabrielson as Head Physiotherapist.

Daniel brings a wealth of knowledge having worked with a wide range of top athletes in a variety of sports, including football and boxing. A familiar face to some at the club, Dan spent time at the Merseyrail Community Stadium in July 2015.

His main roles at the club now will be to assist the management staff in the day-to-day welfare needs of the first team players, focusing on assessment, diagnosis and treatment of injuries.

A physiotherapy graduate from the University of Salford in 2017, Dan’s appointment is another key addition to the playing staff to ensure each Southport player is in peak physical condition throughout the season.

On his appointment, Daniel said: “I am looking forward to being part of the new team at Southport FC and fulfilling the clubs massive potential.”
