    WELL DONE SEFTON COUNCIL 😅
This is almost as funny as the recent exciting news on recycling !
Some jobsworth in the council offices doing a wonderful job of rearrangeing the deckchairs as SS Sefton sinks gently below the waves.
The only edict I want to see from this Micky Mouse council is the one that takes draconian powers to clean up Southport and deal effectively with our traveller/trespasser problem.

Oh the poor overworked attendants, they won't have time now to hide in shop doorways doing a timed 5 minute countdown from the instant the car stops moving, or deal with the travellers.
It would be better to teach them some common sense, understanding and people skills.
What planet is this remote, Labour controlled, clueless council on?

Why not give it a go, it must be one of the worst jobs to do and having more responsibilities must surely mean a pay rise and make better use of patrolling the streets incessantly.

Will they be going away from the P&D areas to give a good service ?

As Ambassadors will this give them extra training and help to realise that a parking penalty is not always good for the town ?

Parking Attendants have always reported hazards like fly tipping, they are always happy to give directions if asked politely. The problem is the Council ignoring them when they report broken or missing street furniture.
As for issuing tickets for littering, get real. The Council wont support them when they are assaulted during the course of their normal work. All they are doing by giving them extra duties is opening them up to further risk of assault without protection from loss of wages through injury or legal costs incured.

Sounds like a "reason" for a pay rise, by changing job!

If they're going to become real Ambassadors, they're going to have to crack on with hosting parties full of people with dubious foreign accents being unduly impressed by pyramids of Ferrero Rochers.

Again the ill informed feel free to slag off the Council when it is Central Government who make the laws that constrain the Council.
Instead of *****in about the Council direct your energies towards those who are actually responsible.
