Guests attending a "Gypsy" wedding at the Town Hall parked their cars illegally on Lord Street and on the pavement this afternoon.Several of the vehicles were untaxed as well according to the DVLA checker. None of the guests seemed bothered about the fines.

Dear Roving Eye.Why on Earth is it headlined as Gypsy Wedding,,Surely this is inciting aggressive comments,
In my view it was a case of drivers stopping and parking and correct procedure was followed and tickets issued, just like the rest of us have to adhere to.
Also surprised to read:::Several of the vehicles were untaxed,Who was the DVLA checker, its all public knowledge now and nothing showing,Then ::None of the guests seemed bothered about the fines,,,,Where they issued with a fine,,sounds like someone had a good conversation with guests and drivers,,,Whats the outcome and update.

Wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the fines to be paid.

Driving an untaxed vehicle, anyone else and your car is seized, but not the gypsies.

FMC would have had a field day removing those vehicles, parking across pavements, loading bays, and even using a designated Hackney Taxi rank, all the vehicles should have been impounded, until the fines were paid,as all these vehicles were illegally parked,so there should be NO exceptions for the Travellers Circus brigades vehicles being parked illegally, and all the owners then having to pay the fines to get their vehicles from the pound.

That only applies to the likes of you or me, mustn't upset the ethnic minorities, that will never do, or more likely stick to easier victims, I'm pleasantly surprised that the parking vultures were brave enough to ticket the vehicles in the first place, for once credit were it's due, but of course the follow up sadly lacking.
