You may see members of the Ormskirk Neighbourhood Policing Team at schools across West Lancashire this week.
This is after a number of complaints regarding the manner of driving and parking at drop off and pick up times.
We are appealing to all parents to take an extra five minutes to find a safe place to park and walk their children in to school for the safety of all children.

Little to do with safety of children, parents are just lazy.
Ideal sit would be to video cars and point out to children in assembly
that any child getting out of a car on yellow lines or zigzags will
incur 45 minutes detention .

Or - leaving the Mr Squears from Nicolas Nickelby persona aside for the moment - make it a positive initiative.
Get the local cinema, Splash World, Mega Bowl et al on board with money off vouchers for kids walking or cycling to school.

Taking silly comments aside, I have never paid or bribed my
children to do anything and I'm not going to start now.I have to much respect for them. You give a dog a treat for doing something you want it to do.

Well you clearly don't have children or you'd recognise the simple incentive and reward dynamic I described.
Whatever you say, if you do have children, you will have done the same but - if it floats your boat to describe a natural parent/ child interaction in such pejorative terms then fill yer boots.
